Arsenal say Havertz out for rest of season and needs surgery

Arsenal Football Club confirmed today that their star midfielder, Kai Havertz, will be out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury that requires surgery.

Havertz suffered the injury during a recent match against Manchester City and initial tests revealed that he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

This news comes as a massive blow to Arsenal fans, who were counting on Havertz to lead the team in their push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

“It’s devastating news for us, but Kai is a strong and determined player and we are confident he will come back stronger than ever,” said Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta.

The surgery is scheduled for next week and Havertz is expected to undergo a lengthy rehabilitation process before he can return to the field.

In the meantime, Arsenal will have to rely on their other midfielders to step up and fill the void left by Havertz’s absence.

The club is currently in talks with potential transfer targets to bolster their squad for the remainder of the season.

Despite this setback, Arsenal remain optimistic about their chances of finishing the season on a high note and qualifying for European competitions next season.

Stay tuned for further updates on Kai Havertz’s recovery and Arsenal’s progress in the league.
